YouTube Music featured visual elements designed using Adobe PhotoShop.

Using Photoshop

This is not my first time using PhotoShop, so it was really fun to get to use my previous experience on the program for something directly related to my academics and major.

The direct guidelines in this assignment was to make photo elements to be used in promotional content for YouTube Music. I used pexels to find a ton of cool looking photos to edit with and play around with, my first move was to play around with the colors and make sure they all matched the brighter tone I wanted for the new YouTube Music design, will still maintaining the mono-red look. Some photos I went out of my way to isolate the subject and blur the background, but some I kind of rushed so I might go back and mess around with it some more, but here are the assets so far.

Personally, this next photo is my favorite out of the four, I love how the blank white background contrasts sharply with the artists in focus- it looks like they are playing in a void in a very stylized way that matches the colors of the brand perfectly while capturing all of the energy it needs.

Honestly, this might be my favorite blog post yet, I liked messing around with logo elements, that was very fun from a design point of view. However, this part of the project was by far the most artistically satisfying getting to mock up full blown pictures in theme for my brand. I can confidently say I am proud of these pictures.
